This group’s purpose is to consider environmentally-friendly solutions that can be adopted in our professional work and to share information about the environmental stakes we face in our industry and, more broadly, in our daily lives.

3 - “STUDIOS” WORKING GROUP
Rémy Chevrin (spokesman)
We consider how AFC cinematographers can support the development and manufacturing of future tools and working spaces, such as projects from the ground up, or studio renovations and restorations. Also, how we can become a part of architects’ creative process alongside set designers.

4 - “IMAGO” WORKING GROUP
Fabrizio Fontemaggi, Thomas Favel (spokesmen / Board representatives)
The IMAGO federation of international cinematographers’ associations is vital as it is able to promote direct communication between association in different countries and on different continents.
The AFC is able to propose multinational events that will recenter cinematographers’ work at Imago (i.e., conferences, master classes, workshops, etc.).

5 - “AFC/SCHOOL” WORKING GROUP
Claire Mathon (Education & Transmission/spokeswoman)
The transmission of our skillset and of the thought process behind them is one of the main reasons the AFC exists. Much of what we do, from our Website to the Micro Salon, can be seen as methods of transmission, and yet we must do a better and more thorough job of theorizing our motivations and especially we must create archives of this activity which is, for some us, habitual.

6 - “SCREENINGS / PREVIEWS” WORKING GROUP
Agnès Godard, Céline Bozon (spokeswomen)
Our purpose is to propose films for screening either as previews of films that haven’t yet been released, or historical films. We also want to organize an event focused on film, either between two cinematographers, or with a cinematographer and a director, or with another branch of our profession.

7 - “WEBSITE EDITORIAL COMMITTEE” WORKING GROUP
Gilles Porte (spokesman)
Together, we create the editorial content of the AFC simultaneously on our website, our social media accounts, Contre-Champ, etc.

8 - “FESTIVALS” WORKING GROUP (Camerimage, Cannes, etc.)
Thomas Favel (spokesman)
This group conceptualizes and organizes AFC events during festivals, and calls on AFC members to present their films at festivals.

9 - “PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION” WORKING GROUP
David Nissen (spokesman)
We are organizing a photography exhibition as part of the Chalon “Chefs Op’ en Lumière” festival and also another exhibition at the Nicéphore Niépce Museum. We will continue to organize other exhibitions.

This working group contributes to improving parity and diversity within our association and thinks about these questions as they apply to our profession more broadly.
