Chok Dee
A desire to film everything and not to stick to the screenplay.
A completely different view of Thai boxing from the one I had...
In spite of the violence which sometimes appears in the ring, in the training camps I came across some modest and extremely gentle people.
Anyway, in spite of the difficulties of ten weeks filming almost exclusively in Bangkok, my memories are of a handsome human adventure shared with Xavier Durringer (a soft-hearted slavedriver) and Dida (humility and kindness in the shape of a man, even though he has nothing to prove). Grateful thanks to my Thai team who stayed with me through " thick and thin and a lot more "...
And thank you to Danielle Malevil from LTC who worked round my absences so that I could grade this film as well as possible... and I know it wasn’t easy.
