Canon France, AFC’s new Associate Member

The AFC is pleased to announce the arrival of Canon France as its newest Associate Member. A major player in the creation of still and moving images, Canon has listened to cinematographers over the last few years and now offers them new tools that are perfectly adapted to the latest techniques in cinematography.

Throughout its strong history of innovation, Canon has become an important force in innovation in, and reflection on, the creation of the moving image : knowledge of lenses and colour transmission has allowed Canon to develop more ergonomic cameras that are better adapted to market evolutions. The choice of large sensors, a logical step towards the world of wide-screen images, allows Canon to develop strong working relationships with lovers of “big formats”.
We wish this new associate member a warm welcome, as Canon’s presence will probably spur a number of conversations and workshops that will feed the great debate over tools for cinematographic recording, fabrication, and creation.
